We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive User Acceptance Tester (UAT Tester) to join our team. The UAT Tester will be responsible for validating that business requirements have been met and that the solution is fit for purpose from an end-user perspective. This role acts as the bridge between technical delivery and business stakeholders, ensuring quality, usability, and compliance before go-live. You will report to a Product Owner and work with the development and project teams to deliver workable software solutions across a number of customer cohorts.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, business analysts, developers and project teams to understand functional requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and execute UAT test scenarios, scripts, and cases based on business requirements and process flows.
- Coordinate and conduct UAT testing sessions with business users.
- Perform manual testing across applications.
- Gain a deep business domain knowledge in order to be able to confidently build test scripts and plans.
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues using test management and defect tracking tools.
- Work closely with software developers to reach a common understanding of the code base and test coverage at all levels.
- Work with developers to address the outcome of regression test reports.
- Communicate testing progress, results, and issues clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
- Participate in triage meetings to assess the severity and priority of defects.
- Validate fixes and perform retesting of resolved issues.
- Ensure sign-off criteria for UAT are met and support go/no-go decisions.
- Provide input into test planning and overall project delivery timelines.

- Knowledge of Agile software development practices.

- Experience within the Insurance / Finance industry.
- Experience with API testing.
- Awareness of modern testing frameworks.
- Awareness of CI.
