We are looking for a HR professional to be a Manager in the HR team that works in a fast paced environment. Are you an experienced HR Manager who can nurture, coach and develop a team? The role requires HR generalist experience across multiple sites and is based at our Harlow office.

Demonstrable experience in managing a small team, ER programmes, Recruitment and Process evolution is a must.

As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for:

Key responsibilities:

Team Management

  • Management of the HR team and Internal Recruiter

Human Resources

  • Develop and ensure HR procedures and guidelines are effective and enforce organisation Values.
  • Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absences, retirement and redundancy.
  • Lead on wellbeing, employee engagement and retention initiatives to increase organisational performance.
  • Support with managing talent and succession planning.
  • Lead the implementation of HR action plans, objectives and processes that are fully aligned with the overall business and People strategies.
  • Ensure line managers are supported through processes ensuring compliance with policies and processes.
  • Provide HR representation in ER processes where required, conducting investigations where necessary.
  • Assist and support rollout of various initiatives, projects and improvements within the organisation e.g. Performance Management, Talent Management, engagement activity
  • Manage local recruitment activities in line with Group recruitment policies and processes.
  • Support onboarding activities
  • Identify and report on KPIs, to monitor and direct activity across, HR, Recruitment, Engagement and to support L&D.

  • Work with the L&D team and key stakeholders to create L&D activity and align the L&D strategy to the overall People and Company plan.
  • Support HR and contribute to the development of our Culture including but not limited to developing a behavioural framework, supporting colleague engagement initiatives and continuous performance management.

Recruitment

  • Oversee the AP recruitment approach to ensure it provides the right talent at the right time
  • Ensure a strong recruitment process and ensure hiring managers are supported through the process
  • Monitor management information to identify the performance of Recruitment and Selection

Employee Engagement

  • Ensure cohesive messaging with the people initiatives.
  • Respond to People relevant feedback from employees and stakeholders
  • Provide a colleague voice through appropriate channels, including suggestions, surveys and polls

As the HR Manager, you will have the following experience:

  • Demonstrable experience within a multi-site HR people manager role
  • Generalist HR background within HR operations, ER, disciplinary, grievances, performance management, projects, data and TUPE
  • Proven track record of people management, ideally in person as well as remotely
  • Experience ideally from a regulated industry
  • CIPD Level 5 or 7
