AutoProtect Group have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Group Marketing Manager to join us in the Marketing Department in Harlow, Essex. AutoProtect Group supplies value-added insurance products and warranties to the consumer market via our retail partners at dealerships and brokers across the UK and Europe. We are a trusted partner across the automotive industry.
The Role
Own our external marketing and communications strategy by leading all external communications for the group, generating quality content across our integrated communications planner with an aim to generate meaningful engagement, build brand awareness, and increase our share of voice.
What You'll Do:
- Line/Team Management: Day-to-day management of the Marketing Department including Creative Services Designer, Marketing Executive and Marketing and Customer Experience Executive to ensure efficient and timely delivery of BAU and project work.
- Team Leadership: Advocate for the department in cross-pillar meetings and projects, coordinate other team members and external third parties service providers involved in departmental activity.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to integrate marketing activity with broader departmental strategies.
- Customer Experience: Contribute to platform and channel development using insights to support customer experience improvements across the customer journey.
- Channel Management: Manage content across multiple owned platforms, including the company websites, social media channels, email newsletters, and third-party platforms where applicable.
- Content Production: Oversee the creation of B2B and B2C marketing material such as blog posts, thought leadership articles, videos, testimonials, partner reviews, infographics, and adverts delivered through multi-channel campaigns.
- Develop and execute design briefs for the paid print and digital advertising schedule throughout the year.
- Ensure all content meets high quality standards, aligns with brand tone, and follows SEO best practices.
- Website: Maintain all B2B Group website content and functionality to deliver performance targets.
- Use analytics data on engagement and traffic to optimise existing content and inform future content creation.
- Other ATL activity: Coordinate sponsorship of various industry events and awards in the industry calendar.
- Curation of award submissions for brands within the Group when appropriate.
- External Communication: Lead and deliver strategic communication plans to effectively inform external audiences of changes to our systems, platforms or operational processes.
- Fulfil tactical external communication requirements to support the ambitions of other departments.
- Advocate for the correct use of effective communication across the Group and support communication efforts where needed.
- Public Relations & Social Media: Develop, deliver, and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the company's overall marketing and organisational goals.
- Calendar Management: Manage the planning and delivery of a content calendar to ensure timely production and publication of content.
- PR and Media Relations: Drive creation and distribution of thought leadership content across industry and consumer media.
- Manage communications and relationships with journalists.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive journalist database segmented by topic and industry area.
- Reporting: Monitor, manage and regularly report to the Chief Revenue Officer and other stakeholders on key metrics including content performance, point of sale marketing, future plans, and any adjustments to the existing strategy.

Essential:
- 5+ years marketing experience.
- Specific experience of the B2B environment.
- Excellent written and oral communicator.
- Good IT skills and computer literacy with MS Office.
Preferred:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience that demonstrates ability.
- Automotive or insurance sector experience desirable but not essential.
- Experience in a mentorship or line management role.
Pay & hours:
Salary: £60,000 per annum
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 17:00pm (1 hour unpaid lunch break)
