A chance to work on game changing UAV (drone) and maritime robotic technologies for industrial inspection, defence and security applications. Salary dependent on experience, this position is for a junior role but other experience levels will be considered.

We are looking for a Junior Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer/Designer with the following qualities:

  • General: Start-up experience/attitude preferred (high levels of initiative, used to working in small, dynamic teams, designing and building efficiently according to the purpose [from quick mock-ups to more mature prototypes]), Degree level in design or engineering, 1-2 years employment, but would suit new graduate with appropriate industrial experience.
  • Essentials: Applied mechanical/industrial design or aerospace engineering background, CAD experience (preferably Solidworks), Hands-on workshop/prototype build experience.
  • Strongly recommended: Lightweight design, Small systems, 3D printing, Mechanical design, Materials and manufacturing process knowledge, Aircraft design principles.
  • Beneficial: UK Driving license, Drone or RC model building and flying experience.

The role is based in leafy Milton Keynes, an 8min Uber or 15min cycle from the station, with a 35min fast train to London Euston. This role will involve developing robotic systems to address a range of challenging applications in industry and Defence and Security.
