Reporting to the PC&L Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted supply of raw materials to support production through effective planning, supplier management, inventory control and cross-functional collaboration.

You will ensure that all activities are delivered in a safe, compliant, diligent and cost-effective manner while promoting a strong culture of engagement and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will support in a variety of essential tasks
- Lead material planning activities to support daily, weekly and monthly production requirements.
- Maintain production plan in line with customer schedules and changing demand.
- Ensure supplier on-time delivery through effective scheduling, forecasting and performance monitoring.
- Work closely with Purchasing to support supplier development and resolve supply issues.
- Maintain raw material inventory within agreed budget and ROF targets, supporting stock takes, cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
- Plan materials for New Product Introduction (NPI), trial builds, Engineering Change Instructions (ECI) and End of Production (EOP).
- Maintain accurate planning data within SAP S/4HANA, including MRP parameters, BOMs, routings and inventory records.
- Issue forward planning schedules to suppliers to provide visibility of demand and capacity requirements.
- Ensure import and export activities comply with customs regulations and documentation requirements.
- Support Quality with supplier-related material issues and continuous improvement activities.
Essential skills & experience
- Experience in Production Control & Logistics, ideally within an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (MM/PP), MRP and demand planning.
- Experience of supplier scheduling, inventory control and supplier performance management.
- Knowledge of transport planning (LTL/FTL) and customs clearance procedures.
- Experience supporting NPI and engineering change activities.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Production, Purchasing, Quality and Logistics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
