A franchised main dealership in Wokingham is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and supportive Aftersales team within a highly regarded automotive dealer group.
THE ROLE
- Welcome customers and discuss their vehicle service, maintenance and repair requirements.
- Book vehicles into the workshop and accurately record all customer and vehicle information.
- Explain required work clearly and provide customers with accurate cost estimates.
- Keep customers regularly updated on the progress of their vehicle.
- Gain authorisation for any additional work identified by the workshop.
- Liaise effectively with technicians, workshop control and the parts department.
- Prepare invoices and explain completed work and associated costs to customers.
- Promote additional products and services where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all manufacturer and dealership processes are followed.
- Deliver consistently high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor within an automotive dealership is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Confident speaking with customers both face-to-face and over the telephone.
- Organised, professional and able to manage a busy workload.
- Good computer and administration skills.
- Experience using dealership management systems would be advantageous.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
- A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.
