Static Paint Technician – Booth (automotive)

The Job
- Monday – Friday
- 08:00 – 17:30
- £40,000 Basic + Commission OTE £50,000
- Tonbridge, TN9
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays + Birthday off (29)
Duties
A successful candidate will be responsible for running our spray booth, completing checks that the vehicles have been masked and prepped correctly, setting up and using a spray gun, mixing paint, matching colours, using primer and lacquer, acknowledging safety regulations and assessing the job is able to be carried out. Repairs will be completed from start to finish by yourself. Repairs on vehicles will include:
- Minor scuffs and scratches
- Paint blemishes
- Stone chips
- Bumper scuffs
- Wings / doors sprayed
- Small dents
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience within a paint spraying environment
- Preferably automotive / motor trade background but not essential
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in painting
Requirements
- Valid full UK driving licence
- Knowledge of filler application
- Able to paint a minimum of 2 vertical panels and blend
- Right to work in the UK
- Strong customer service
- Good time keeper
- Basic maths and English required
- Been in previous customer facing roles
- Great attention to detail
