Engine Fitter required in Telford, Shropshire. We are proud to be working with a leading manufacturing business in Telford and helping them to recruit an additional Engine Fitter to join their team. This is working a day shift pattern (8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday) and the role comes with an annual salary up to £30,000 per annum (DOE). Overtime is also available and is paid at T1/2 premium when worked.
This role would be a great fit for someone who has previously worked with Car, HGV or Military Vehicle Engines either in a working capacity, or as a hobby and you have previous experience with stripping and rebuilding Engines. Similar job titles would include Engine Technician, Mechanical Fitter, Engine Strip & Re-builder, HGV Engine Fitter, or Vehicle Mechanic.
What You Will Do:- Strip down and refurbish various components, breathing new life into each part.
- Clean down parts once disassembled, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
- Conduct tests on components once reassembled, guaranteeing they function as intended.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, translating them into actionable tasks.
- Utilize hand and power tools daily, including spanners and torque wrenches, to perform tasks efficiently.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
- Proven experience within a busy workshop environment, showcasing your ability to thrive under pressure.
- Hands-on experience working with engines, demonstrating your technical expertise and passion.
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings, ensuring precision in every task.
