We’re working with a highly respected multi-franchised dealer group in the West Midlands who are looking for a driven and experienced Workshop Controller to join their dynamic team. About the Role
This opportunity is ideal for a high-performing Senior Service Advisor or an experienced Workshop Controller looking to progress with a market-leading brand. You’ll be responsible for overseeing workshop operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and exceptional customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain exceptional customer service levels across the department
- Support Parts and Sales teams to ensure smooth interdepartmental operations
- Drive workshop efficiency, productivity, and profitability
- Implement and review training and development plans for all staff
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and internal processes
- Promote a “right first time” culture within the workshop
- Maintain accurate job cards and ensure timely completion of all processes
- Provide technical support and mentoring to technicians when required
- Manage workload distribution and workshop resources effectively
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional workshop environment
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues efficiently
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a fast-paced automotive workshop environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities
- A customer-focused mindset with a drive for excellence
- Mechanical background with experience mentoring or training technicians
- Current aftersales experience (essential)
- Experience within a branded dealership environment (advantageous)
- Full UK Driving Licence
