We’re working with a highly respected multi-franchised dealer group in the West Midlands who are looking for a driven and experienced Workshop Controller to join their dynamic team. About the Role

This opportunity is ideal for a high-performing Senior Service Advisor or an experienced Workshop Controller looking to progress with a market-leading brand. You’ll be responsible for overseeing workshop operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and exceptional customer service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain exceptional customer service levels across the department
  • Support Parts and Sales teams to ensure smooth interdepartmental operations
  • Drive workshop efficiency, productivity, and profitability
  • Implement and review training and development plans for all staff
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and internal processes
  • Promote a “right first time” culture within the workshop
  • Maintain accurate job cards and ensure timely completion of all processes
  • Provide technical support and mentoring to technicians when required
  • Manage workload distribution and workshop resources effectively
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional workshop environment
  • Handle customer queries and resolve issues efficiently

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced automotive workshop environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities
  • A customer-focused mindset with a drive for excellence
  • Mechanical background with experience mentoring or training technicians
  • Current aftersales experience (essential)
  • Experience within a branded dealership environment (advantageous)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
