We are urgently seeking a Prototype Build Technician to join an exciting new client on a rolling 3 month contract. The day to day activities include:
- Build, preparation, service of prototype vehicles / bucks to facilitate both whole vehicle and component testing in line with design verification programme objectives.
- Preparation and build of prototype vehicle / bucks for DVP testing, attribute sign-off events.
- Carry out servicing and safety checks on prototype vehicles.
- Manufacture / sub-assembly of relevant components.
- Assembly of components and fit to vehicle / buck in sequence of build and to process planning.
- Preparing and supporting prototype vehicles, including sub-assemblies.
The ideal candidate will be a team player but also able to work independently, self-starting, relishes challenges, a problem solver, flexible and adaptable to new situations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of vehicle experience.
- Prototype vehicle experience.
- Motorsport experience.
- HV experience an advantage but not a necessity.
Qualifications
- Full Apprenticeship (Motor Vehicle background) ideally to HNC level.
- Equivalent motor racing experience.
