This is the job: As a Mobile Mechanic, you’ll be the friendly face delivering first-class service and repair work at our customers’ homes or workplaces. You’ll attend a mix of booked appointments and breakdowns, carrying out inspections, diagnostics, basic and full servicing, brake replacement, and on-the-spot repairs—keeping our customers moving safely and confidently. With full training and ongoing support, you’ll have everything you need to succeed in a varied, independent, and rewarding role.
What will I be doing?
- Communicator: Clearly explain diagnostics and repairs so customers feel confident and informed
- Self-starter: Work independently across multiple locations in all weather conditions
- Problem solver: Diagnose and fix a wide range of vehicle issues, roadside or at appointments
- Customer champion: Represent the AA as a trusted expert and reassuring presence for our members
- Business builder: Take ownership of your local area by creating your own work, building relationships and connections within the community to help grow demand
What do I need?
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in a workshop or mobile mechanic environment
- Full UK Category B driving licence (maximum 6 points)
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
