As a Training Delivery & Support Specialist, you’ll bring learning to life by delivering engaging remote and face-to-face training to our Roadside Operations teams. Using your technical expertise and coaching skills, you’ll help colleagues build the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed. Working closely with the Training Manager and key operational stakeholders, you’ll play a vital role in shaping and developing our training programmes. You’ll help embed innovative ways of working and support the transformation of Roadside Operations as we build for the future.
What will I be doing?
- Delivering engaging face-to-face, virtual and field-based training programmes, ensuring colleagues have the skills, knowledge and confidence to perform effectively in their roles.
- Supporting the onboarding and ongoing development of customer-facing colleagues through high-quality induction, refresher and upskilling training.
- Ensuring all learning activity is delivered in line with governance, compliance, regulatory and quality standards, maintaining a safe and consistent learning experience.
- Collaborating with the Roadside Training Manager and Learning Designers to develop, implement and continuously improve learning solutions that meet business and operational needs.
- Embedding new ways of working and supporting key transformation programmes, including Road Operations of the Future, through effective training delivery and stakeholder engagement.
- Providing expert coaching, guidance and learning support to colleagues and leaders, helping to build capability and improve performance across the business.
- Developing and supporting Business Trainers, sharing best practice and strengthening delivery standards to create a consistent and engaging learner experience.
- Partnering with operational stakeholders to identify performance trends, skills gaps and development opportunities, recommending appropriate learning interventions.
- Evaluating learner feedback, training outcomes and operational performance data, using insights to drive continuous improvement in learning delivery.
- Maintaining and applying knowledge of the latest learning methodologies, technologies and industry best practices to enhance training effectiveness and learner engagement.
What do I need?
- A recognised automotive qualification, such as IMI or City & Guilds Automotive Parts 1, 2 and 3, or an equivalent qualification.
- A strong automotive, mechanical or electrical engineering background with up-to-date technical knowledge.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage audiences both face-to-face and virtually.
- The confidence to act as a credible subject matter expert, providing guidance and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- A proven ability to coach, support and develop others, helping individuals and teams achieve their full potential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across diverse teams.
- The ability to adapt quickly to change and support the successful implementation of new ways of working.
- Good report-writing and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and make informed recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook and Word.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively.
