As we continue to modernise and transform our technology landscape, we’re looking for a Technology Risk Business Partner to help shape how technology risk, resilience and governance support innovation across the organisation.
This is a highly visible role within our Operational Resilience team in the Chief Operating Office, partnering across Technology, Digital, Data, Transformation and wider business teams. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to provide pragmatic oversight, influence decision-making and help ensure our technology environment remains resilient, secure and fit for the future. This is an opportunity to play a genuine role in enabling enterprise transformation within one of the UK’s most recognised brands.
What will I be doing?
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Technology, Digital, Data and Change to identify, assess and manage technology risks across a complex enterprise environment.
- Help evolve and embed The AA’s technology risk and governance approach, ensuring alignment with wider operational resilience and enterprise risk objectives.
- Deliver risk and control assessments, support RCSA activities and provide clear oversight of key technology and operational risks.
- Produce meaningful risk insights, reporting and key indicators that support informed decision-making at senior leadership level.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology teams, providing constructive challenge and pragmatic guidance on risk, resilience and governance matters.
- Support oversight of third-party and emerging technology risks, including areas such as cloud, automation and AI, helping the business stay ahead of evolving threats and industry change.
What do I need?
- Experience in technology risk, IT risk, operational resilience, technology governance or information security within a complex enterprise environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across both technical and business teams.
- Experience supporting or delivering technology risk frameworks, risk assessments, RCSA activity, governance reporting or control oversight.
- Strong communication skills, able to translate complex technical or risk issues into clear, practical insights for senior stakeholders.
- Good understanding of modern technology environments including cloud platforms, data governance, digital transformation and emerging technologies.
- Knowledge of industry frameworks or regulatory standards such as NIST, ISO, GDPR, DORA or SOX would be beneficial.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA or ITIL are welcomed but not essential.
