This is the job:

  • Hours: 36.25 hours per week.
  • Shifts between 0700 – 2000, Monday to Sunday.
  • Location: Oldbury offices. Resident Working.

As a Technical Advisor, you’ll be part of a growing team providing expert advice to our customers via telephone. You will be the go-to expert for customers seeking telephone fixes and supporting the business by dispatching patrols only to vehicles in genuine breakdown scenarios.

What will I be doing?

  • Providing essential technical support, advice, and repair fixes to our customers, ensuring we attend only genuine breakdowns.
  • Ensuring efficient communication and effective resolution of breakdowns for our customers.
  • Meticulously recording data on relevant databases to contribute to management insights and facilitate decision-making. Computer literacy and confidence in using various systems are required.
  • Providing clear advice, simplifying technical information so customers understand, and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Focusing on achieving results as a target-driven individual.

What do I need?

  • Mechanical Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent qualification, along with substantial, demonstrable experience in the Motor Vehicle Repair Industry.
  • A Fixer/Problem Solver: Enthusiastic about utilizing your technical expertise to resolve issues and help customers get back on the road.
  • A Master Communicator: Able to convey complex technical information simply and effectively, instilling confidence in customers and patrols.
  • Flexible: Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends, to cover breakdowns and car troubles.
