About the Role

ARE YOU THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR? Working in the Motion Control Product Sales Specialist (PSS) team means providing technical knowledge, advice and pre-sales support to external customers for both new business and existing accounts. We are looking for someone with experience and prior knowledge and passion for selling Motion Control products as well as specific third-party products that complement the overall offering. The candidate will have a broad interest in engineering and will also be prepared to embrace new and innovative products and talk about them to our customers. The successful candidate will help develop profitable Motion & Variable Speed Drives sales growth within owned accounts, in line with company targets. The role will consist of developing existing accounts and new business development targets with technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for assisting with the profitable growth of the Motion Control business in the Northeast and East.
  • To offer technical training, advice and assistance to internal and external personnel.
  • Attend joint customer visits with Account Managers, Sales Managers, Technology Partner Account Managers and other external sales teams.
  • Communicate and interface with Service Centres and other departments on technical and commercial issues and portray a professional image at all times.
  • Responsibility for delivering relevant workshops to our customer base within their geographic area.

Qualifications

HNC/HND or higher in electrical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent engineering qualification) is required.

Required Skills

Technical understanding of a selection from the following: Servos, Gearboxes, Drives, Motors, Mechatronics. The successful applicant will have the ability to provide effective technical solutions, solve problems and endeavour to provide continuous benefits for both the customer and the company.
