This opportunity would be excellent for an Electrical Graduate looking to build a career in automation and service engineering. You will be working alongside experienced Service Engineers, supporting customers, solving technical problems and developing your skills through a strong culture of self-learning and practical training.
The Role:
- Provide front-line technical service and support to customers across a range of industries.
- Diagnose faults and modify customer control systems to resolve technical issues.
- Work with PLCs, HMIs, Inverters, Servo Drives and other automation technologies.
- Support customers as part of a team providing 24/7 service and technical assistance.
- Participate in an out-of-hours service rota, typically 5-8 days per month, including weekends.
- Carry out smaller automation projects including PLC upgrades, small installations and machine programme modifications.
- Attend customer sites to investigate faults, carry out modifications and provide technical support.
- Develop knowledge of unfamiliar equipment and technologies through self-directed learning.
