This is a fantastic opportunity for a Proposal Engineer to join a global engineering business delivering advanced Power Quality, Power Electronics and Medium/High Voltage solutions across industrial, renewable energy and utility sectors.

Proposal Engineer – The Role:

  • Receive and review customer RFQs, specifications and technical bid documentation
  • Identify the most suitable technical solution based on customer requirements and project objectives
  • Prepare technical and commercial quotations, including cost estimates and supporting documentation
  • Carry out technical sizing, solution evaluation and cost analysis for MV/HV power systems
  • Estimate engineering, project management and R&D resource requirements
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, technical information and optimise proposal costs
  • Produce single line diagrams and technical documentation to support bids
  • Work closely with Sales, Engineering and R&D teams to develop competitive proposals
  • Attend customer meetings to present solutions and provide technical clarification
  • Support continuous improvement of proposal processes and technical solutions

Proposal Engineer – What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical background
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach
  • SAP, AutoCAD or power system analysis software (such as DIgSILENT or NEPLAN) would be advantageous
