Panel Wirer/Electrical Fitter - The Role:
- Layout of electrical components within electrical control panels and on equipment framework.
- Installation of cable tray, trunking and conduits.
- Testing of installations as and when required.
- Wiring of Electrical Control Panels, frame mounted components and specialised machinery.
- Correct use of hand tools, power tools, crimp tools to industry standards.
- Be reactive to work when required which is electrical and non-electrical based.
- Able to read and interpret Electrical General Arrangement, Schematic and Wiring Drawings.
- Undertake mechanical fitting of electrical components and associated equipment.
- Fit wiring and wire control panels in accordance with supplied drawings.
- Measuring and marking out to specified drawing dimensions.
- Keep site and equipment clean and in a safe condition.
Panel Wirer/Electrical Fitter - The Person:
- Completed, as a minimum, a recognised training scheme or apprenticeship.
- Level 3 qualification.
- 18th Edition Electrical Safety Regulations preferred.
