A specialist engineering and design consultancy is seeking two Control Systems Engineers to join its expanding team. Control Systems Engineer – The Role
- As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of bespoke control and power systems, working as part of a project team with guidance from Senior Engineers.
- Assist in the design of electrical power and control systems.
- Design and implementation of Ethernet and serial communication networks.
- Support PLC programming using Siemens TIA Portal and/or Rockwell.
- Produce & maintain technical documentation (specifications, risk assessments, manuals, etc.).
- Providing technical support to clients, both on‑site and remotely – with support.
- Peer review of engineering designs.
- Commissioning support at customer sites (up to 20% travel including international & offshore).
Control Systems Engineer – The Person
- The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
- Ability with PLC programming – Siemens or Rockwell ideal but all considered.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical (advantageous but not essential).
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Flexibility to travel internationally when required.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive mindset.
