Maintenance & Facilities Technician
£27-33k + Training, Overtime, Stable Working

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business with an annual turnover of £250 million. As part of continued investment in its operations, including the construction of a new £25 million warehouse, the company is looking to appoint a practical, hands-on Maintenance Engineer to support the upkeep of both production equipment and site facilities.
Maintenance Technician - The Role:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and site equipment
- Respond to mechanical breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance
- Support the maintenance and upkeep of factory facilities and infrastructure
- Assist with improving preventative maintenance procedures and maintenance documentation
- Carry out basic fault finding and repairs across mechanical equipment
- Support PUWER assessments and safe operation of machinery
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work logs
- Work safely while carrying out maintenance tasks, including working at height when required
- Contribute to ongoing site improvement and expansion projects
Maintenance Technician - What We're Looking For:
- Mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Engineering Apprenticeship, HNC, City & Guilds or equivalent practical experience
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Electrical and pneumatic maintenance knowledge would be advantageous
- Comfortable working at height
- Self-motivated with a practical, hands-on approach
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Basic IT skills for recording maintenance activities
- Willingness to undertake additional training and occasional overtime
