A marine engineering company specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke handling systems for offshore and industrial applications are currently looking for a Controls Engineer to join their team. This company has been at the forefront of providing high-performance systems across many sectors including offshore oil.
Field Service Engineer - Multi Skilled - The Role:
- Installation, commissioning, servicing and overhaul of hydraulic and mechanical maritime handling systems
- Fault finding and diagnostics on hydraulic systems including HPUs, pumps, motors, valves, cylinders and manifolds
- Electrical fault finding on motors, control panels, sensors, limit switches, solenoids and safety circuits
- Basic PLC diagnostics (Ladder Logic), including monitoring I/O and supporting control system troubleshooting
- Assist with commissioning and troubleshooting of VFD-controlled systems
- Interpretation of hydraulic schematics, electrical drawings and mechanical documentation
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance both onshore and offshore
- Produce detailed service reports and technical documentation using MS Office
- Support workshop activities including builds, inspections, testing and documentation when not on site
- Work independently in remote or offshore environments, managing tasks effectively.
