We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business with an annual turnover of £250 million. As part of continued investment in its operations, including the construction of a new £25 million warehouse, the company is looking to appoint a practical, hands-on Maintenance Engineer to support the upkeep of both production equipment and site facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer looking to broaden their skills and develop into a multi-skilled role. You will receive ongoing training and support while working within a stable, growing business that offers long-term career prospects, varied day-to-day responsibilities and the chance to be involved in an expanding manufacturing facility.

Maintenance Technician The Role:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and site equipment
  • Respond to mechanical breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance
  • Support the maintenance and upkeep of factory facilities and infrastructure
  • Assist with improving preventative maintenance procedures and maintenance documentation
  • Carry out basic fault finding and repairs across mechanical equipment
  • Support PUWER assessments and safe operation of machinery
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work logs
  • Work safely while carrying out maintenance tasks, including working at height when required
  • Contribute to ongoing site improvement and expansion projects

Maintenance Technician What We're Looking For:

  • Mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Engineering Apprenticeship, HNC, City & Guilds or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Electrical and pneumatic maintenance knowledge would be advantageous
  • Comfortable working at height
  • Self-motivated with a practical, hands-on approach
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Basic IT skills for recording maintenance activities
  • Willingness to undertake additional training and occasional overtime
