EC&I Site Technician - The Role:
- Installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment
- Assembly and wiring of electrical control panels and specialised machinery
- Installation of cable tray, trunking, conduits and cable systems
- Glanding and termination of multicore, copper and fibre optic cables
- Testing and inspection (continuity, insulation resistance, functionality checks)
- Assist with commissioning activities and completion of inspection/test plans (ITPs)
- Interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics and specifications
- Fault finding, issue reporting and updating site logs
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety and quality procedures
- Liaise with engineers, site managers and internal teams
- Maintain clean and safe working environments on-site
- Work flexibly on-site, including travel and varied project durations
EC&I Site Technician - The Person:
- Level 3 qualification or completed electrical apprenticeship (minimum)
- 18th Edition Electrical Regulations preferred
- Experience in electrical installations and control panel wiring
- ECS or CSCS card holder
- Desirable: MEWP, PASMA
- Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Good understanding of UK safety and environmental regulations
- Self-motivated and able to work using own initiative
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible to travel, work shifts and overtime when required
- Full UK driving licence
- Eligible for BPSS and able to obtain Security Clearance
Located in West Midlands, this role would be commutable from Telford, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Birmingham, Walsall and surrounding areas.
