Controls Project Engineer sought for an established automation and drives engineering business, delivering complex control system upgrades and bespoke solutions across a wide range of industrial sectors. This role is site-focused, supporting customers primarily across the North East, with office-based work when not on customer sites.
The Role:
- You’ll be responsible for delivering controls projects from concept through to commissioning, with a strong focus on upgrading legacy systems and designing modern Siemens-based solutions from scratch.
- Upgrading older Siemens and Rockwell-based systems to Siemens S7-1500 with integrated Siemens safety.
- Designing and programming Siemens TIA Portal systems.
- Working on large-scale process equipment including:
- Steel processing systems
- Test cells
- Plastic film winding
- Drive winders, tensioners, power cells
- Cable and wire winding machinery
The Person:
- 5+ years’ experience of a Control Systems Engineer within manufacturing.
