Team Leader - Electrical Design - The Role
- Lead, support, and mentor a small team of electrical design engineers
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring high-quality output
- Remain hands-on with electrical design work using EPLAN including ProPanel
- Ensure designs comply with UK Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations and EU Machinery Directive
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical design, controls, and project management
- Drive continuous improvement in design practices, documentation, and engineering standards
- Act as the technical point of contact for design-related queries from the shop floor or site
Team Leader - Electrical Design - The Person
- Experienced electrical design engineer with a background of machinery automation
- Strong EPLAN skills essential (Pro Panel and P8)
- Confident working on projects ranging from £80k to £30M
- Strong knowledge of ProfiNET/EtherNET/IP networks and industrial safety systems (SISTEMA)
- Solid understanding of machinery safety standards and regulations
- Clear communicator with the ability to manage multiple tasks and lead by example
