Standards Compliance: Ensure all control and safety systems comply with relevant national and international regulations and standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, CE). Robot Programming & Commissioning: Program and commission industrial robots, including KUKA, Fanuc, and ABB, to meet specific automation requirements. Testing & Validation: Conduct comprehensive testing both in-house and on-site at customer facilities to ensure optimal system functionality and performance. Project Delivery: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver automation projects on time and within budget, ensuring high standards of quality and reliability. Senior Controls Engineer – The Person Over 5 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems, with a strong background in delivering complex machine control projects on time and within budget. Proficient in PLC programming, with hands-on experience in Rockwell / Allen-Bradley systems; open to leveraging skills with other PLC platforms, with training available if required. Proven track record in automation and production machinery design, with a practical, hands-on engineering approach from concept through commissioning. Knowledgeable in working with advanced technologies including vision systems, HMIs, motion control and robotics, contributing to improved machine performance and functionality. Strong customer-facing skills with a commercial mindset; adept at interpreting client requirements and delivering tailored solutions. Flexible and available for national and international travel (1–2 weeks at a time, several times per year) for on-site commissioning and client support.
