Instructor / Trainer – PLC & Automation

£45,000 – £55,000 + Car/Allowance, Overtime, BUPA & Benefits

Instructor / Trainer – PLC & Automation – The Role:

  • Primarily delivering a range of key industrial courses
  • Working with clients across a range of business sectors including some of the largest blue‑chip businesses in the UK
  • Developing and maintaining good training notes and materials
  • Building new examples and exercises for the training
  • Travelling to customer sites for training and skills assessment
  • Delivering courses in a dedicated training centre, on client sites across the UK (up to a week at a time) and occasionally overseas

Instructor / Trainer – PLC & Automation – The Person:

  • Knowledge and experience of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, Drives or Industrial Networking
  • Clear communication skills and a strong desire to help others learn
  • Experience with leading PLC & Automation products (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron and Mitsubishi)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Prior experience in coaching, mentoring or delivering training would be an advantage

You will be given full training to transition into an Instructor role supported by an experienced team of trainers to deliver market‑leading training courses.

As an Instructor / Trainer PLC & Automation, you\’ll enjoy a full‑time permanent position with a working day from 08 00, Monday to Friday. You\’ll get 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and the opportunity to improve your professional skills learning new hardware and software as required. You\’ll also have the opportunity to support the running and development of the business.

If you\’re passionate about helping others learn and have experience in PLCs, Drives, Networking and HMI s and are an experienced Technical Trainer, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Service Engineer, Electrician, Multiskilled Engineer or have worked in a similar role such as a PLC Instructor, Automation Trainer, Industrial Networking Trainer, Drives Instructor or HMI Trainer, this role could be the perfect fit for you.
