Senior Electrical Engineer - The Role:- Acting as the technical authority for electrical systems across a large industrial manufacturing site
- Supporting the safe operation and maintenance of substations, transformers, motors, drives, UPS systems and control systems
- Maintaining reliable power distribution to critical production and utility assets
- Supporting electrical isolations, permitting activities and system re‑energisation
- Troubleshooting electrical power systems and control system issues
- Leading electrical safety initiatives and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and industry best practice
- Participating in audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and HAZOP reviews
- Delivering reliability improvement projects for critical electrical assets
- Developing preventative, predictive and condition‑based maintenance strategies
- Managing electrically biased CAPEX and improvement projects from concept through to commissioning
- Supporting plant outages and breakdown response activities
- Working closely with automation teams on PLC, HMI, SCADA and power monitoring interfaces
- Providing technical leadership, mentoring and support to engineers, technicians and contractors
- Maintaining engineering standards, documentation and asset management plans
- High‑voltage and low‑voltage industrial power systems
- Electrical distribution networks and substations
- Transformers, switchgear, protection relays, motors and VSDs
- Industrial manufacturing, utilities, power generation or process industries
- Electrical safety, isolation procedures and permit‑to‑work systems
- Reliability engineering, maintenance strategy and root cause analysis
- Electrical project engineering and commissioning activities
- Technical leadership and mentoring of engineering teams
- Supporting plant operations during critical breakdown and outage situations
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience within metals, mining, chemicals, utilities, power generation or other heavy industrial environments
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA and power monitoring systems
- Experience using AutoCAD, CMMS or asset management systems
- Contractor and supplier management experience
