Are you a passionate and driven engineering professional with a flair for solving complex problems in industrial environments? We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer skilled with Industrial Automation Controls to join a dynamic and forward‑thinking team within a global leader in digital industrial automation.
The Role:
- Provide expert‑level technical support for PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA systems across a variety of industrial sites.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system faults on‑site.
- Lead and support commissioning activities and system upgrades.
- Contribute to full project life cycles – from Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) through to installation and final handover.
- Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rota, supporting critical operations for key customers.
The Person:
- HNC/Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent professional experience).
- Practical experience with multi‑vendor control systems – PLC & HMI are essential, with an ability to fault‑find and make small modifications – Siemens experience is key.
- Solid understanding of low‑voltage electrical systems.
- Familiarity with project execution.
- Awareness of industrial cybersecurity and standards is an advantage.
- Solution‑focused mindset and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

As with any travelling role, you need to be prepared to support other regions as needed across the UK & Ireland. They also offer flexible working hours to support a healthy work‑life balance, a generous pension with employer contributions up to 10%, paid overtime, door‑to‑door travel time paid, fully expensed company car and 26 days holiday + bank holidays (with the option to buy/sell an additional five days).
