They are now seeking Inverter Drives & Control Engineers to support a growing portfolio of reactive and planned site-based work. Inverter Drives & Control Engineers £45-50k + Paid Overtime, Van, Pension OTE £60-70k+ Hampshire Ref: 24417 Drives Service Engineers – The Role: This is a varied, hands-on service role focused on electrical drives, motor control, and industrial control systems. Key responsibilities include: Fault finding and repair of electrical installations and control systems Working primarily with three-phase motor starters, including star/delta, soft starters, and variable speed drives Installation and commissioning of variable speed drives Removal and replacement of motor starters and associated control gear Carrying out modifications to existing control panels Working directly with customers to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions Participation in a call-out rota to support reactive maintenance work Drives Service Engineers – The Person: To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven experience fault finding and repairing variable speed drives (experience with ABB drives is advantageous but not essential) 17th or 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations The ability to modify existing control panels Confidence reading and making changes to electrical schematics Experience working on industrial electrical and control systems The ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team This role offers a high level of variety, exposing Engineers to multiple areas of the business and a wide range of customer sites. It is ideal for engineers who enjoy site-based work but want to remain local, with minimal overnight stays. Engineers can significantly increase earnings through paid overtime and call-outs, typically earning up to a third more on top of base salary.
