Controls Engineer – The Role

  • Design and implement control systems including Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi PLCs
  • Develop and manage HMI SCADA systems for optimal operational efficiency
  • Create Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and I/O Schedules in line with project requirements
  • Interpret P&ID\’s to ensure accurate system configuration and performance
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by staying abreast of industry trends and technologies

Controls Engineer – The Person

  • Proven experience in PLC / Controls Engineering
  • Proficiency with Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi PLCs
  • Strong skills in HMI SCADA systems
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID\’s
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Located in Nottinghamshire, this role would be commutable from Nottingham, Leicester, Derby and can be highly hybrid with the majority of time either work from home or up to 40% at client site across the East of England with monthly meetings at head office in Nottinghamshire.
