Control Systems Engineer - The Role:
- Design and specify control systems, safety and electrical components for industrial automation systems
- Create electrical schematics and designs within AutoCAD Electrical
- Create technical specifications, process flow diagrams and plan control system programming architecture
- Work with the Design and Applications Engineering engineers to provide drawings, specifications and deliver projects on time
- PLC and controls programming of industrial automation systems using Siemens & Allen Bradley
- Carry out electrical testing procedures on new machine builds
- Integrate and Commission new systems at customer sites within the UK and overseas
- Maintain, develop and support existing control systems at customer sites within the UK and overseas
Control Systems Engineer - The Person:
- Minimum of 3+ years experience of PLC software and electrical panel design
- Machinery safety training and/or experience highly advantageous
- Sound understanding of electrical control gear, industrial automation and implementation of communication protocols (Profinet/Profibus, EtherNet/IP, TCP/IP, serial, OPC, IO-link, etc.)
- Educated to degree level preferably in Electrical Engineering or related fields (2.1 or above)
- Knowledge of robotics preferred
