This is a varied, handsâon service role focused on electrical drives, motor control, and industrial control systems.
Key responsibilities include:- Fault finding and repair of electrical installations and control systems
- Working primarily with threeâphase motor starters, including star/delta, soft starters, and variable speed drives
- Installation and commissioning of variable speed drives
- Removal and replacement of motor starters and associated control gear
- Carrying out modifications to existing control panels
- Working directly with customers to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Participation in callâout or rotational support reactive maintenance work
- Proven experience fault finding and repairing variable speed drives (experience with ABB drives is advantageous but not essential)
- 17th or 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations knowledge
- The ability to modify existing control panels
- Confidence reading and making changes to electrical schematics
- Experience working on industrial electrical and control systems
- The ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team
