This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Manager to join one of the UK’s leading systems integration businesses, delivering complex projects across Water Treatment and Power & Energy sectors. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and long-term customer partnerships, this role offers the chance to lead and develop LV design teams while working on large-scale industrial automation and electrical engineering projects in a progressive and highly supportive environment.
Electrical Design Manager - The Role:
- Lead and oversee LV electrical design activities across multiple projects and site locations
- Manage and support a team of Electrical Design Engineers, ensuring high technical standards and project delivery
- Support compliance activities and client site assessments
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers within the team
- Ensure all designs meet relevant technical specifications, standards and QA requirements
- Work closely with clients, project teams and site teams throughout project delivery
- Drive continuous improvement and engineering best practice across the design function
Electrical Design Manager - What We’re Looking For:
- Strong background in LV electrical design and industrial systems
- Previous leadership or management experience
- Detailed knowledge of motor starters, relay logic and electrical control systems
- Experience managing users of an electrical CAD package, ideally EPLAN
- Knowledge of British Standards
- Minimum HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
