Ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on electrical work, this role offers excellent variety across control panel wiring, machinery installation and electrical assembly within a stable and supportive engineering environment.
Panel Builder / Wirer - The Role:- Wire electrical control panels, specialised machinery and frame-mounted equipment
- Install cable tray, trunking and conduit systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, GA drawings and wiring diagrams
- Carry out mechanical fitting of electrical components and associated equipment
- Test installations and support fault finding activities when required
- Use hand tools, power tools and crimping equipment to industry standards
- Support both electrical and non-electrical workshop activities when needed
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping
- Completed recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 electrical qualification
- Previous experience with control panel wiring and field wiring
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team
- Good practical and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- 18th Edition qualification
- MEWP, PASMA, Harness, Forklift or Scissor Lift certification
- Mechanical fitting or installation experience
