Controls / Software Engineer - The Role
- Developing and writing software for customer‐specific projects
- Testing software to ensure accuracy and performance
- Installing and deploying software, both onsite and remotely
- Supporting commissioning and ensuring systems meet client specifications
- Working with control systems from multiple manufacturers (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider, B&R)
- Attending project handovers and collaborating with engineering teams
- Liaising with customers to understand and refine technical requirements
- Providing technical and electro‑mechanical support to customers and internal teams
- Assisting with electrical testing and fault‑finding activities
- Supporting onsite activities while adhering to H&S regulations
- Helping resolve IT‑related issues where required
- Supporting sales teams with technical expertise during site visits
- Coordinating work to meet tight project deadlines
Controls / Software Engineer - The Person
- Experience in control systems / industrial software engineering
- Strong knowledge of PLCs and automation platforms (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
- Good understanding of electrical systems and testing procedures
- Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills
- Proactive and able to manage workload and priorities effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer‑focused with a professional approach
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines
