A forward-thinking engineering company specialising in Horticultural projects is now seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join their growing team. This company delivers high-quality, professional solutions tailored to both residential and commercial clients. With a strong emphasis on precision, reliability and attention to detail, the team works closely with customers to achieve results that combine functionality with refined design.

Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

  • Assist in the design of electrical and M&E projects alongside the wider design team
  • Develop and produce Electrical CAD drawings
  • Co-ordinate M&E services with overall scheme designs
  • Attend and contribute to project design meetings
  • Prepare material take-offs and bills of materials
  • Produce costings and quotations for projects
  • Source pricing from suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Support sub-contract enquiries and supplier negotiations
  • Maintain and update installation drawings throughout project lifecycles
  • Prepare as-fitted drawings upon project completion
  • Work closely with managers and designers to ensure projects meet client and company requirements
  • Occasional site visits alongside a primarily office/home-based role

Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

  • Experience in CAD design (Autocad and AMTECH)
  • Experience in electrical services design and/or estimating (one required, willingness to develop the other)
  • Knowledge of cable design, lighting, and emergency lighting systems
  • Understanding of electrical regulations (advantageous)
  • Strong teamwork skills with the confidence to question, challenge and support colleagues
  • Good organisational and coordination abilities
  • Willingness to learn and develop with structured mentoring support
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)

Located in Yorkshire, this role would be commutable from Leeds, York, Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield and other surrounding areas.
