A forward-thinking engineering company specialising in Horticultural projects is now seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join their growing team. This company delivers high-quality, professional solutions tailored to both residential and commercial clients. With a strong emphasis on precision, reliability and attention to detail, the team works closely with customers to achieve results that combine functionality with refined design.
Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:
- Assist in the design of electrical and M&E projects alongside the wider design team
- Develop and produce Electrical CAD drawings
- Co-ordinate M&E services with overall scheme designs
- Attend and contribute to project design meetings
- Prepare material take-offs and bills of materials
- Produce costings and quotations for projects
- Source pricing from suppliers and sub-contractors
- Support sub-contract enquiries and supplier negotiations
- Maintain and update installation drawings throughout project lifecycles
- Prepare as-fitted drawings upon project completion
- Work closely with managers and designers to ensure projects meet client and company requirements
- Occasional site visits alongside a primarily office/home-based role
Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:
- Experience in CAD design (Autocad and AMTECH)
- Experience in electrical services design and/or estimating (one required, willingness to develop the other)
- Knowledge of cable design, lighting, and emergency lighting systems
- Understanding of electrical regulations (advantageous)
- Strong teamwork skills with the confidence to question, challenge and support colleagues
- Good organisational and coordination abilities
- Willingness to learn and develop with structured mentoring support
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
Located in Yorkshire, this role would be commutable from Leeds, York, Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield and other surrounding areas.
