A marine engineering company specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke handling systems for offshore and industrial applications is currently looking for a Panel Wirer/ Electrical Fitter to join their team. The company has been at the forefront of providing high-performance systems across many sectors, including offshore oil & gas.

Salary & Conditions

  • £38,000 + Paid Overtime + Pension + Travel Allowances.
  • Early Friday finish.
  • Salary is negotiable with experience.
  • All overtime paid, allowances for working away/offshore, a pension scheme and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays are included.
  • A pool car is provided for any required UK travel.

Location

Glasgow, Central Scotland. The role is commutable from within and around the following areas: East Kilbride, Glasgow, Hamilton and Motherwell.

Panel Wirer/Electrical Fitter - The Role

Predominantly factory based, with potential work and travel to other facilities/customer sites. Overseas travel at short notice is occasionally required.

Panel Wirer/Electrical Fitter - The Person

  • Previous engineering experience in drilling, tapping, grinding & cutting using power hand tools.
  • Ability to read & fully understand electrical schematics & wiring diagrams, to then wire control panels.
  • Working knowledge of equipment including test meters, crimping tools & other workshop equipment often used in the manufacture of control panels.
  • Familiarity with components commonly used in control panel manufacture.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence & valid passport.
  • Role would suit an Electrical Fitter / Electrical Engineer / Electrician skilled with electrical fitting and control panel wire/build.
