A great opportunity is available to work for a world leading manufacturer of automated machinery for the packaging sector. Primarily based in the North West you will develop software projects to configure standard machine software for existing equipment supplied to a worldwide client base. Your role will also develop special one off bespoke machines within the R&D department. Automation Engineer £40,000 – £50,000 + Benefits 7-14% Company Contribution to Pension. 25 days hols + stats, Private health insurance and overseas allowances Lancashire Ref: 22569 Automation Engineer – The Role: Advancement/refinement of existing software platforms/controls systems using Siemens equipment Programming of PLC’s, Drives & SCADA systems Liaison with customers (internal & external) and suppliers Independent creation & modification of programs for Siemens PLCs & SCADA’s Independent modification of Siemens drive control systems Management of machine software design projects Automation Engineer – The Person: Siemens TIA 1500 series PLC programming “START” programming of Siemens Sinamics S120 & CU320 drive systems Siemens WinCC SCADA programming Ability to travel worldwide to suppliers and customer sites if required Degree or HND qualified Siemens Drive Programming experience Appreciation of pneumatic, hydraulic and machine control systems Fieldbus and commissioning experience Must be able to work unsupervised and be self motivated Electrical design skills (for complex control cabinets) would be highly advantageous Located in Lancashire, this role would be commutable from Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington, Bury, Rochdale and Bolton Looking for a job involved with automation, control systems, process control or systems integration?
