The Finance Assistant reports to the Head of Finance and is responsible for assisting Automation Consultants’ financial responsibilities, including but not limited to payroll, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
The role is part-time with an expectation of one day in the office per month.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist with payroll
- Raising sales invoices
- Processing purchase invoices
- Allocating customer receipts to sales invoices
- Allocate supplier payments to invoices
- Liaising with companies as required in order to respond to queries and resolve account settlement issues
- Reconciling aged debtors
- Reconciling aged creditors
- Post credit card transactions
- Input credit card payment receipts
- Reconciling trade statements to outstanding invoices
- Respond to account queries, as necessary
- Administration of PAYE, national insurance, SSP, commission etc., for employees
- Assist in maintaining company account system, Xero, with financial transactions, and customer, supplier, and new employee details
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Qualified accountant (or working towards this) ACA, CIMA, AAT, or ACCA equivalent
- Experience with Payroll
- Experience using Jira and Confluence
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail to create reports, forecasts and budgets
- Audit experience
- Excellent people skills, with the confidence to communicate with clients
- Experience within the tech industry
- Extremely organised with an ability to manage numerous accounts effectively
- Experience with Excel Macros
- Strong IT Skills and experience using payroll management systems, preferably Xero
Salary and Benefits:
- £16,500 – 22,500 Per Annum
