FX Artist (UK Freelance).
The Job
We’re looking for a UK-based Freelance FX Artist to join our team for a 2-month contract.The work will focus primarily on blood FX, alongside more stylised and magical FX, utilising pyro, particles and dynamic simulations.
We’re looking for an artist who can hit the ground running, work confidently in Houdini and contribute effectively within a collaborative VFX production environment.
Responsibilities
- Strong Houdini and FX skills
- Experience with USD, Solaris and Karma.
- Experience creating blood, destruction/glass and dynamic simulations
- Additional experience with fire and smoke
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in film, TV or VFX production
- Must be UK-based
Experience, skills attributes:
- Previous experience as an FX Artist within VFX/film/TV.
- Strong knowledge of Houdini.
- Experience lighting and rendering FX work is a bonus.
- Good understanding of VFX workflows and production pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
