THE POST REPUBLIC specializes in delivering the best post-production solutions and facilities such as a digital on-set lab, editing, colour grading, sound design, mixing, and digital delivery. Whilst AUTOMATIK VFX delivers best-in-class visual effects for high-end TV and features.

Operating mostly as the sole vendor, we cover everything from conceptual design pre-shoot, through post-vis to the final delivered VFX, the image and sound. Our creative team constantly pushes boundaries, creating extraordinary images and incredible creatures to rival the world’s largest VFX and post houses, capturing the imagination of global audiences.

We are an award-winning studio; we create outstanding and varied content for some of the biggest names in the global entertainment industry, including BBC, Disney+, Amazon Studios, Pandora Films, Paramount, and Sky, to name but a few.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate VFX production activities to ensure projects run smoothly within the Production team.
  • Track and deliver shots in line with established targets and milestones.
  • Demonstrate effective project management skills, clear communication, a high level of organisation, and a proactive, positive attitude.
  • Assist artists in managing schedules by prioritising and tracking internal technical assignments and project details.
  • Organise dailies, rounds, and project meetings, including setting up rooms and media with all relevant individuals.
  • Use ShotGrid to check statuses, task assignments, and maintain the project scope on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate and package shot deliveries, including submission documentation.
  • Ensure artists are clear on daily deliverables and manage the production calendar.
  • Record and organise notes from clients, dailies, and rounds; communicate updates and schedule changes to the team.
  • Help establish quality control and project closure processes, following up on approved and completed work to ensure timely delivery to specifications.

The Job

We are looking for an organised and proactive VFX Production Coordinator to join our team at Automatik. As a VFX Production Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring our projects run smoothly and are delivered to the highest standards. Working closely with the Senior VFX Coordinator, artists, and other departments, you will help manage schedules, track progress, and facilitate communication to ensure targets and milestones are met. Your expertise in organisation, project management, and clear communication will be essential in delivering outstanding work for high-end feature films and television projects

Experience, skills attributes:

  • Minimum of two to five years experience in visual effects or film production industry
  • Highly organised with excellent scheduling and task management skills
  • Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to problem-solve effectively in a fast-changing environment
  • Understands visual effects terminologies and processes
  • Ability to liaise and collaborate with clients, artists and VFX Producers
  • Experience in visual effects processes; asset development, layout, matte painting, animation, FX, lighting, and compositing
  • Working experience with ShotGrid (project management software)
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Google Suite package (Word and Excel)
  • Knowledge of Linux, Nuke and other 2D/3D packages is considered an asset
  • In addition to your normal duties, you may be required to undertake other duties at the company’s discretion
