Microsoft Azure is a cornerstone of many SMB tech stacks, and we need an Azure expert to help our clients maximize their cloud investments. We’re looking for an Azure Consultant to design, implement, and optimize Azure environments—from infrastructure and networking to AI services and automation. As an Azure Consultant, you’ll work with clients to architect cloud solutions that support their business goals. You’ll migrate workloads to Azure, configure services, implement security best practices, and integrate Azure capabilities with our automation systems. You’ll help SMBs access enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure without the enterprise complexity.
This role is ideal for someone who knows Azure inside and out and enjoys translating technical capabilities into business value. You’re comfortable working directly with clients and take pride in building solutions that are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
Responsibilities:
- Architecture & Design
- Assess client requirements and design Azure solutions aligned with business objectives
- Architect cloud infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, and databases
- Design for security, reliability, scalability, and cost optimization
- Create technical documentation and architecture diagrams
- Implementation & Migration
- Deploy and configure Azure services across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings
- Execute cloud migrations from on-premises or other cloud platforms
- Implement Azure AI services (Cognitive Services, OpenAI Service, Machine Learning)
- Configure Azure Logic Apps, Functions, and Power Automate for automation workflows
- Security & Governance
- Implement Azure security best practices including identity, network security, and data protection
- Configure Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and conditional access policies
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor and Sentinel
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
- Optimization & Support
- Optimize Azure environments for cost, performance, and reliability
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Stay current on Azure services and recommend new capabilities to clients
- Integrate Azure services with automation platforms and client tech stacks
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience with Microsoft Azure in consulting or engineering roles
- Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of Azure compute, storage, networking, and database services
- Experience with Azure security, identity, and governance
- Familiarity with Azure AI and automation services (Cognitive Services, Logic Apps, Functions)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform)
- Excellent client-facing communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform integration
- Background in hybrid cloud or Azure migration projects
- Familiarity with automation platforms (Make, n8n, Zapier)
- Experience serving SMB clients
- Additional Microsoft certifications
