We are seeking a Project Manager to lead OEM automation projects ranging from small turnkey systems to large, complex, multi-discipline automation programmes. This role is responsible for managing projects from contract handoff through design, build, test, delivery, and customer acceptance. The Project Manager will serve as the primary interface between customers, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to technical and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage OEM automation projects from kickoff through commissioning, delivery, and closeout.
  • Own project scope, schedule, budget, and margin performance across multiple concurrent automation projects.
  • Act as the primary customer point of contact for technical, commercial, and schedule related matters.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including automation engineering, electrical design, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and logistics.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, execution plans, and risk registers for automation scope.
  • Lead project reviews, status meetings, and customer updates.
  • Identify technical and execution risks related to automation systems, controls integration, and supply chain, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Manage change control including scope changes, cost impacts, and schedule adjustments.
  • Coordinate with system integrators, component suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Support factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning, and startup activities as required.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality processes, customer specifications, and applicable industry standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5 plus years of project management experience supporting automation, controls, or engineered OEM systems.
  • Experience managing projects involving PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, or integrated automation platforms.
  • Strong understanding of automation project execution including design, procurement, build, test, and delivery.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and manage customer expectations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Asana, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or similar project management certification.
  • Hands-on experience with automation platforms such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Emerson, or Honeywell.
  • Experience with OEM automation systems such as control panels, integrated skids, or packaged equipment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or similar.
  • Experience supporting regulated or industrial manufacturing environments.
