Role Summary: To support the IP team in the management of the Autolus IP portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of the internal document management system: uploading incoming correspondence, official communications, and other documentation
- Maintenance of the internal case and task management system: creating cases for new filings, entering and tracking due dates
- Liaising with our external renewal fee service provider to pay renewal fees
- Liaising with our external citation management provider to manage citations
- Liaising with our external Trade Mark attorneys to manage Trade Mark applications
- Management of invoices and blanket Purchase Orders
- Liaising with the Accounts, Procurement, and Legal teams to onboard new service providers
- Communication with local and overseas attorneys; scientists and tech transfer managers
- Handling of formal documentation: powers of attorney; assignments; declarations and documentation relating to EP validation

Experience:
- Knowledge of all aspects of patent filing and prosecution, including priority and International filings, national/regional phase entry and renewal fees – E
- Experience of managing an IP portfolio and monitoring deadlines – E

- Previous experience of online filing - P
Qualifications:
- CIPA Patent Administrator’s Certificate – E
Skills/Specialist knowledge:
- Highly organised and with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise work, work under pressure and be flexible as part of a small team
- Have drive and energy to help implement new IP-related company procedures
- Good verbal and written communication skills and the confidence to liaise proactively with colleagues and external IP attorneys
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
