Please do not contact the recruiter directly. Role Summary The Technical Project Manager will manage multiple technical projects across Stevenage Operations. The role will be based primarily at The Nucleus – Autolus\’ state of the art manufacturing centre in Stevenage and will involve some travel to the Autolus White City site, and potentially to 3rd party manufacturers or supplier’s dependent upon business need. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing technical projects within the Product Delivery Organisation (PDO) through the project management life cycle utilising tools appropriate to the project scale and leveraging best practices. The technical projects will vary across the PDO organisation, broadly aligned to product delivery, process improvement, capacity delivery capability improvement and operational excellence across multiple departments, including Production (Vector & Cell), Quality Control, Validation, MSAT and Supply Chain. The candidate will not have line management responsibility and as such will be expected to deliver primarily through matrix leadership and influence. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Product Delivery functions (e.g. Process Dev, Technical Operations), Technical teams & Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to manage and execute projects throughout the project life cycle Partner with 3rd party organisations such as manufacturers and suppliers, to manage the execution of out-sourced activities to the agreed plan and pro-actively manage emerging risks and issues utilising appropriate escalation routes. Collaborate with functional SME’s to effectively scope new project requirements to enable leadership review and approval to execute. Lead workshops with functional SME’s to establish detailed project plan / timeline, key milestones, roles & responsibilities and project team ways of working Manage and execute the project to deliver to project timelines & agreed metrics (schedule, resources, budget and scope) with the project team utilising best practices of Project Management Identify ‘business as usual’ activities from the project that require definition and handover to functional teams for routine execution Provide concise regular project updates to management team & input into routine project / programme reviews Demonstrated skills and competencies E – Essential P-Preferred Experience Minimum 1-3 years Project management experience within life sciences sector OR 3 or more years in a Biotech / Pharma role with a significant project management component (E). Preferred experience to be within Technical Operations or a Manufacturing environment. Experience interacting and building effective relationships with core and extended team members, functional managers and senior management. (E) Skills and experience in working with IT tools for project management (E) as well as reporting tools like Power BI. (P) Qualifications Bachelor\’s degree (B. S. or B.A.), preferred in the Life Sciences OR appropriate experience within the Biotech / Pharma Industry. (E) Project management certification through accredited professional body such as Project Management Institute (PMI), Association for Project Management (APM), or similar; (P) Skills/Specialist knowledge Understanding of manufacturing within a GMP environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal and the ability to facilitate team interactions.
