Position Summary:

The Team Lead, Master Scheduler will be responsible for the strategic planning, scheduling, and coordination of engineering maintenance activities within Autolus. This role will ensure the efficient use of resources and adherence to project timelines, contributing to the successful delivery of engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project planning within the biopharmaceutical or related industry, with strong analytical and organizational skills. The role will have one direct report, the Engineering Coordinator, supporting planning and scheduling activities and deputising for the Master Scheduler as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategically develop and manage comprehensive shutdown schedules, overseeing resource allocation, establishing critical timelines, and defining key milestones to ensure seamless project execution.
• Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, validation and quality, ensuring cohesive coordination and alignment of maintenance objectives and deliverables.
• Proactively monitor maintenance execution progress, identifying potential risks and issues, and implementing innovative mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful outcomes.
• Lead and facilitate regular cross functional maintenance execution status meetings, delivering insightful updates and ensuring transparent, effective communication with all stakeholders to drive alignment and accountability.
• Leverage data analytics and performance metrics to continuously assess project performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and drive improvements in resource utilization and efficiency.
• Prepare and deliver high-level maintenance reports to senior management, presenting key achievements, challenges, and actionable next steps, while providing strategic insights for informed decision-making.
• Ensure unwavering compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies, maintaining the highest levels of integrity and quality throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Champion the development and implementation of advanced maintenance planning tools and methodologies, driving continuous improvement to enhance organizational efficiency and maintenance delivery excellence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or related industry.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, maintenance execution methodologies, and industry regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple maintenance activities simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.

• This position may require occasional travel to other Autolus locations or partner sites.
