Role Summary

The Supply Planner is responsible for material purchasing and supply planning for Autolus manufacturing facilities. The role involves generating stock requirements based on demand and scenario supply plans, issuing purchase orders to suppliers, and ensuring uninterrupted production across clinical and commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run the materials requirements planning (MRP) process to assure suitable stock levels for clinical manufacturing.
  • Align with agreed safety stock levels and raw material budget.
  • Maintain inventory policies at manufacturing sites and third‑party warehouses in conjunction with planning, manufacturing operations and commercial teams, including safety stocks, lead times, order quantities and projects.
  • Expedite overdue orders and work with suppliers as required.
  • Manage material forecasts and communicate with suppliers to assure stock availability for future demand.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure compliance with Procure to Pay policies and procedures.
  • Resolve invoice queries with suppliers and finance promptly.
  • Partner with Strategic Sourcing and Quality to facilitate sourcing of new materials.
  • Lead resolution of supply continuity issues for the sites of responsibility and escalations to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit stock orders with 3PLs to replenish stock at manufacturing sites.
  • Work with 3PL Project Managers on a weekly basis to manage materials/supplier queries.
  • Run Raw Material KPIs and present them in the monthly Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process.
  • Lead monthly forecast review meetings with Production and Quality Control to resolve forecast accuracy issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Competencies

  • 3+ years of experience in supply planning, inventory management or scheduling within biologics or FMCG industries.
  • Strong communication, organizational, conflict resolution, collaboration, data processing and problem‑solving skills.
  • Quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills with business process metrics linked to KPIs.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Advanced Planning software.
  • Ability to perform in a fast‑paced, complex, dynamic, multicultural business environment.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate across stakeholders: Finance, Manufacturing, Clinical, Quality and Regulatory.
