About Supply Chain Sustainability Team In Autoliv
The Sustainability team in Supply Chain Management ensures that every step of the supply chain—from sourcing to delivery—is environmentally responsible, ethically sound, and economically viable. With a strategic and risk based approach we reduce emissions, manage supplier ethics, and drive innovation to build a greener, more resilient supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of responsible sourcing strategies in Autoliv supply chains, particularly within high-risk segments and high-risk geographies. Scope of suppliers is Direct material suppliers, Raw materials suppliers and Indirect suppliers, for Tier-1 and in prioritized areas along supply chain to Tier-N.
- Lead the Social responsibility risk based approach in supply chain, with supplier-level risk assessments, data collection, audits, and follow-up on corrective action plans for social responsibility risks, in line with our global due diligence framework.
- Support the organization as Second line of defense, engage with internal organization, suppliers and third-party auditors to design and implement corrective action plans based on audit findings and self-assessment questionnaires.
- Coordinate with supplier quality, purchasing, compliance and legal teams to ensure social responsibility management and responsible business practice/criteria is embedded into supply chain strategies and sourcing processes, such as in onboarding, supplier selection and supplier management.
- Lead the planning and execution of trainings and workshops for suppliers and global/divisional teams to build awareness and capabilities in responsible sourcing, labor rights, and compliance requirements.
- Develop and adapt training materials to different cultural and operational contexts, ensuring relevance and effectiveness for local suppliers and teams.
- Where required, represent the company in external supply chain sustainability forums, industry working groups, and multi-stakeholder platforms, for responsible sourcing and social responsibility mgmt.
- Contribute to the supply chain preparations of ESG disclosures, sustainability reporting, and stakeholder communications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, International Relations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in responsible sourcing, supply chain sustainability, or ethical trade – preferably in the automotive industry.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-tier supply chains with a deep understanding of labor, environmental, and governance risks.
- Experience designing and delivering training and capability-building programs for diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong knowledge of international labor standards, grievance mechanisms, and due diligence legislation (e.g., CS3D, UK Modern Slavery Act, California Transparency Act).
- Familiarity with social auditing methodologies (e.g., SMETA, RBA, SA8000) and international frameworks such as the UNGPs, ILO Conventions, and EU/US due diligence regulations.
- Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Experience working with suppliers in high-risk regions or sectors.
- Training-of-trainers (ToT) experience is an advantage.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
